The Operations Group within the Beams Department (BE-OP) is responsible for the commissioning and the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of CERN’s accelerator complex and beam lines, as well as supervising the CERN-wide technical infrastructure. BE-OP ensures continuous delivery of high-quality particle beams to CERN’s diverse experimental programme while pioneering advancement and innovation in operational methods and solutions. The group plays a strategic role in integrating new technologies, advancing accelerator and beam performance and shaping the future of accelerator operations at CERN.
